Matthew 13:3-4

"A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up."

Matthew 13:23

"The seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree."
